Pleasant Run Nursery has been a premier source for rare, hard-to-find, native, and ornamental plants for nearly 30 years, catering to landscape and horticulture professionals and focusing on sustainable practices to ensure ecological equilibrium in green spaces both large and small.
Pleasant Run Nursery’s plant material has been used in some of the most influential public green spaces throughout the East Coast, from Rockefeller Center and the New York Botanical Garden all the way to the Atlanta Historical Society and Tulsa Botanical Garden. From our quart and 1-gallon perennials and grasses, to our range of native and ornamental shrubs, and 20-to-30 gallon shade trees, our plants have been used to create a finished appearance to landscapes and gardens of all sizes and cultural conditions. We begin with the highest quality liners available, guiding them to maturity for dynamic, full-impact installations throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and beyond.
“Pleasant Run’s always expanding availability gives us access to harder to find plants in large quantities. Having this resource is essential to achieving our mission of delivering high quality public horticulture to our clients and partners. They are also great to work with and extremely customer focused!”
- Pennsylvania Horticultural Society
Pleasant Run is not only dedicated to sustainable practices from start to finish, but also to the satisfaction of our customers and the ability to supply beautiful, retail-quality plant material for nearly any landscape. These established installations of our plant material are embodiments of our commitment to ecological preservation, biodiversity, and the beautification of natural and public spaces.

To represent the vast array of landscapes our plants cater to, we’ve compiled a collection of installations from some of our customers, including residential designs by BluePlant NYC and Pennsylvanian companies GreenWeaver and Deep Roots; public displays by the Battery Conservancy in Lower Manhattan and Greengage Urbanscape in Brooklyn; Red Oak Permaculture and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society in Philadelphia; and completed projects sent to us by four of our local New Jersey customers: Ronni Hock Garden and Landscape, Sun and Shade Landscaping, Heaven & Earth, and Twin Industries.

ABOUT PLEASANT RUN NURSERY
Pleasant Run Nursery began in 1998 as a wholesale container nursery focused on providing the green industry rare, hard-to-find, and interesting ornamental plants. For 27 years, we’ve never abandoned that focus, and have instead expanded to include over 20 acres of production including native shade trees, deciduous shrubs, and a wide range of perennials, grasses, vines, ferns, and tropical plants. We pride ourselves on our sustainability practices and our exceptional material quality, aiming to supply landscape and horticultural professionals with all of the finished plant material they need, from quarts to 30 gallon containers. We offer delivery services to over 20 states, and encourage green industry professionals to visit our display gardens and production houses year-round.
