Ever wondered how to “read” a tree through pruning?

Ever wanted to build confidence working with trees -- not just talking about them?

Pruning practice day is an opportunity to learn proper structural pruning techniques for a variety of ornamental and fruiting trees.

This part of a special series of Inside/Out activities organized by the BSLA Plant Sourcing Task Force focused on meeting plants where they are. Join us!

Members and non-members, all are welcome.

What to bring:

  • If you have them: Clean and sharpened BY-PASS pruning snips (or you can borrow some)

  • Boots (the fields tend to be very muddy in the spring)

  • Water

  • Sun protection

  • Questions, patience, + good humor

Lunch will be provided by Pierson Nurseries.

Join us to get hands on plants!
