Associate - Senior Associate Landscape Architect/ Designer

About the Role

Brown Sardina, Inc. is seeking a skilled Associate or Senior Associate Landscape Architect/ Designer with 6–10+ years of experience to join our collaborative team. This position involves leading and supporting design efforts across a range of public and private sector projects, including educational campuses, community development, civic spaces, and public parks.

The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who thrives in working on multiple projects and has expertise in site planning and schematic design through construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and organize projects through all phases of design and construction

  • Develop the preparation of construction documents and specifications.

  • Conduct on-site and in-office construction administration, including site visits, submitting shop drawings, and RFIs.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, sub-consultants, clients, and stakeholders

  • Present concepts and deliverables to clients, review boards, and community groups

  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables with support from leadership

Qualifications

  • BLA or MLA from an accredited program.

  • 6–10+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture

  • Proven experience leading, organizing, and managing projects from start to finish

  • Deep knowledge of landscape construction detailing, grading, planting design, and materials

  • Strong design sensibility and the ability to communicate ideas clearly through sketches, presentations, and technical drawings

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (Additions: Rhino, Lumion)

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
