Senior Landscape Architect / Designer
We are a high-end residential landscape firm seeking a Senior Landscape Architect / Designer to join our team. This is a client-facing role where design excellence meets relationship-building. You’ll lead creative projects from concept through construction, ensuring that our clients’ properties are not only beautiful, but also deeply connected to their homes and lifestyles.
What You’ll Do
Meet with clients to understand their property, aesthetics, and goals, and translate those into creative, functional landscape designs.
Lead the design process: site analysis, concepts, presentations, renderings, budgets, and contracts.
Mentor and oversee junior designers, ensuring drawings, renderings, and presentations meet professional and brand standards.
Support estimating with takeoffs, data input, problem solving, and value engineering.
Present and sell design and construction proposals to clients.
Manage construction documentation, permitting, and site visits to ensure design intent is realized.
Collaborate closely with construction and maintenance teams to ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Serve as the ongoing design voice for the client, strengthening long-term relationships.
Network with architects, builders, and other residential professionals to support marketing and lead generation.
Promote and integrate additional firm offerings (property care, enhancements, outdoor living features) into your design process.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Landscape Architecture and at least 4 years of work experience within a Landscape Architect/design studio.
Strong design sensibility with the ability to link architecture, landscape, and client vision seamlessly.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and present designs with confidence.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; strong hand-rendering skills are a plus.
Knowledge of horticulture, grading, and drainage fundamentals.
A collaborative leader who can mentor others while thriving in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Senior Food Forest & Green Infrastructure Construction Manager
Overview
Are you a mission‑driven landscape architect or landscape project manager who wants your sustainable design and construction management skills to directly benefit the local Boston community? As the Senior Food Forest & Green Infrastructure Construction Manager, you’ll lead the implementation of regenerative, climate‑resilient food forests across Boston’s neighborhoods—from base plan and permitting through construction and community build days. This is a high-impact role responsible for transforming underutilized land into thriving green spaces that benefit the entire community.
Reporting to the Engagement & Construction Director, you will manage the end-to-end construction and design support of 5-10 new food forests at a time, ensuring they are completed on time, on scope, and within budget. This role is your chance to directly contribute to our ambitious goal of building 30 food forests by 2030, fundamentally changing the landscape fabric of Boston. You will be on the front lines, getting to know community members, making a profound local impact, and seeing your projects come to life. The ideal candidate has experience in park building, landscape construction and sustainable site implementation, with a balance of project management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. You have strong project management experience, and have led the construction process of landscape or park development. A passion for food forests and a commitment to community collaboration in creating sustainable green spaces is essential.
Responsibilities
Construction management
Manage contractors to ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Manage infrastructure construction, e.g., mainline water installation, solar power systems, irrigation systems.
Build partnerships with construction suppliers, e.g., for fruit tree provision, materials, etc.
Develop and implement safety protocols, and ensure they are followed.
Report weekly, and monthly on progress, indicators, to the Engagement & Construction Director.
Ensure projects are efficiently, effectively and safely implemented in accordance with organizational procedures, local regulations, contracts and policies.
Meticulously manage project documentation, including field reports, permitting and inspection requirements, and project budget.
Manage creation of construction project management tools and processes.
Support community engagement in partnership with the Community Engagement Manager to foster engagement throughout the construction process, keeping stakeholders informed and involved, e.g., through a planting day.
Design, Documentation, and Permitting
Create new park base plans and site condition plans to guide construction and ensure adherence to zoning regulations.
Obtain necessary permits and demonstrate understanding of local zoning ordinances.
Design, communication, and documentation of construction processes.
Qualifications
Either a Bachelor’s Degree & 5 years of related experience, or 5-7 years of related experience with demonstrated success in construction of landscape projects (parks, residential landscapes, etc)
Location
Important: This is a mostly in-person Boston, Massachusetts-based position that will require frequent travel between Boston neighborhoods, including managing on site construction and meeting with community members. There are opportunities for virtual work when not on-site managing construction or supporting community engagement in Boston.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overall management direction for all landscape construction projects. Responsible for all phases of the landscape construction project including but not limited to managing employees, subcontractors, owner relations, quality control, safety, schedule and executing to the project budget.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities for the projects assigned to ensure objectives are accomplished safely within prescribed funding and scheduling parameters.
Monitor and control project(s) budget and schedule.
Prepare and report project(s) costs, progress, and forecasts.
Establish and execute project work plans.
Maintain open communication channels with client, regulator, or other stake holders.
Prepare and submit pay applications, Requests for Information, Purchase Orders, Submittals, Change Orders, Claims, Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications, and any other required project related communication.
Coordinate with Owner the allocation of shared resources such as personnel and equipment.
Serve as company representative at required project meetings or hearings and prepare documentation, as necessary.
Perform in depth review of all essential elements of projects assigned to identify challenges to mitigate or opportunities to realize.
Supervise work performed to ensure it meets company standards and quality plan.
Review drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness, and accuracy.
Able to understand aspects of engineering, ie blueprints, setting grades etc.
Supervision of Project Managers.
Promptly respond to project ad-hoc needs.
Enforce safety policies and procedures.
Ensure all on-site compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules and company policies.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is plus.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking on uneven surfaces, including ground in varying weather conditions.
Regularly sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
