Dan Gordon Landscape Architects is seeking an experienced designer at the associate level with 6+ years of professional experience in landscape design to join our studio. This position offers an opportunity to take a meaningful leadership role within the studio, work directly with firm principals and clients, and play an active role in the continued growth of DGLA.

Who we are looking for:

Qualified candidates must have demonstrated skills that are necessary to manage all aspects of a project from the initial client meeting, to the design process, and through construction. The ability to navigate all phases of the project and lead a team of junior staff while working within the constraints of the project budget is required. Strong communication skills and the desire to mentor junior staff are essential. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture is required.

What you will do at DGLA:

  • Work with design staff in the preparation of schematic design packages

  • Collaborate with principals and project teams to develop thoughtful design solutions consistent with DGLA’s design philosophy and approach.

  • Present work products to clients and regulatory commissions

  • Oversee 3-D Modeling and preparation of design development presentations

  • Manage the development of construction documents

  • Working in the field from project commencement through construction administration

  • Interfacing with fellow designers, contractors, and fabricators

  • Meet with principals and senior associates regarding staffing and project planning

  • Contribute to the office culture in a positive and meaningful way

  • Attend networking events, representing the core values of DGLA and contribute to the growth of the company
