Entry-Level Landscape Architect/Designer
James Doyle Design Associates is an award-winning landscape design studio located in Greenwich, CT. Our passions lie in creating meaningful and memorable landscapes for residential clients. Our work is diverse and found throughout the U.S. and abroad. Project scopes can range from intimate urban rooftops to rural country farms, waterfront homes, and estates. Our team is comprised of landscape architects and designers with unique backgrounds and interests. Our tailored design process seeks to create solutions informed by architectural context and site history while being ecologically sensitive. We engage with a team of affiliated professionals, including architects, landscape contractors, and environmental consultants, to design and implement a shared vision.
We are looking for an emerging professional to become an integral part of our design process from beginning to completion. This is a role for a self-starter who is eager to learn and contribute. Under the guidance of our experienced team, you will have the opportunity to cultivate all the skills necessary to be a well-rounded and successful landscape architect.
In this role, you will:
Contribute to all project phases, from initial concept and schematic design to detailed construction documents and site administration
Develop graphics and 3D models to communicate design ideas
Collaborate directly with senior designers, architects, engineers, clients, and contractors
Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of project management
Expand your horticultural knowledge and learn the craft of creating timeless, sustainable landscapes
Develop your design skills in a supportive and creative environment

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA)
0-4 years of relevant internship and/or professional experience
A strong design portfolio that showcases your creativity and technical skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Bonus Assets: Knowledge of 3D rendering software (Rhino and Lumion), a passion for horticulture, and/or progress toward professional licensure
