Internship

JDDA is a nationally recognized landscape design studio located in Greenwich, CT. Our passions lie in creating meaningful and memorable landscapes for residential clients. The work is diverse and found throughout the U.S. and abroad. Projects range from intimate urban rooftops to rural country farms, waterfront homes and estates. Our team is comprised of landscape designers and landscape architects with unique backgrounds and interests. Our design process seeks to create solutions that are informed by architectural context and site history, while being ecologically sensitive. We collaborate with affiliated professionals including architects, interior designers, engineers, landscape contractors and environmental consultants to design and implement a shared vision. Our work reflects the intersection of nature and art; the juxtaposition of the designed and the natural; with bold, contemporary, dynamic gestures in the form of structural plant material, innovative hardscaping and an infusion of landscape art.

We care about the world we live in and our landscapes have the power to become our sanctuaries, to be uplifting, relaxing and thought provoking, with an appreciation for nature.

The Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to gain professional experience in the realm of residential landscape architecture. This opportunity will allow you to work in a truly collaborative setting, develop interests in the multiple facets of landscape design and learn about office workings – schematic design development, client presentations, construction detailing, permitting, bidding, site visits- if it has to do with the design or installation of a project, you will be exposed to it!

As an intern you will also engage in all our office activities, including studio field trips and occasional summer socials. We work hard but like to have fun!
